Associate of letters and dancer, professor of modern letters, then PRAG at the University of Strasbourg, Alice Godfroy publishes her research work in two books (Dance and poetry, Champions, 2015;Take body and language, Ganse, 2015). She designs with the CDN of Strasbourg the magazineBody Object Imageon the contemporary arts of puppetry, and became its editor-in-chief from 2013 to 2015. With the University of Nice Côte d'Azur, where she currently teaches, she created a Master's sub-course "Improvisation in dance", and directs since 2019 a biannual Improvisation Summer School: two editions to date, in 2019 and 2022, a third special edition “fabulous techniques” in 2024.

Close collaborator of Mathieu Bouvier and Loïc Touzé on the research project “ Figure work. What does a dance show? » (La manufacture, He.So, 2017), she has since made significant contributions to the site For an atlas of figures. Fine connoisseur of Contact Improvisation, of theTuning Scores by Lisa Nelson,Real-time dialing of João Fiadeiro and many somatic practices, his research on the "incorporated knowledge of dancers" is recruited to question art as an experience, in its relationship to other environments or ways of living.
