At the intersection of movement, drawing and speech, his practice is based on multiple exchanges between interiority and community. This approach is implemented through various devices: performance, show, installation, publication or transmission. He holds a master's degree in visual arts (ENSAV La Cambre, Brussels) and in choreography (AMCh, Amsterdam) and followed the THIRD research program (Das Research, Amsterdam). He is also involved in writing and editing in the field of artistic research: Seestrata, online. His first book,fields/www.varamopress.org/fields.html, is published by Varamo Press (2022).

Julien Bruneau's artistic work includes devices that are exemplary, in several respects, of what we call "Fabulous Techniques":SAY is a “one to one” performance based on the principle of the oracle.Genius Loci, is a performance practice for domestic spaces in transition. In addition, Julien Bruneau develops an in-depth reflexivity on the micropolitical issues of his work. His current research work, which bears the name “ Mediumship as an ecology of presences: techniques of receptivity for a community to come » has deep conceptual resonances with our project. Julien Bruneau will be associated with a study relating specifically to speculative devices of the "mantic" type, to which his work is similar.
